Abstract

A new genus, Tryposomagen. nov., is introduced to accommodate two African anostostomatid species formerly classified under the genus Libanasa Walker (Tryposoma kilomeni (Hemp & Johns) comb. nov. and Tryposoma brachyurum (Karny) comb. nov.). This taxonomic revision includes a key of the species. Detailed discussions on the genital structure of the newly described genus are also provided.
